I was reading about the North Sails tactician app recently. It looks really handy for every sailor. But I wouldn’t advice taking an iphone on board unless you’ve got one of those dry bags to keep it in. it stores a lot of information that you’d normally be keeping in your head and getting wrong of course or else scribbling down on a piece of paper or card which flies off the deck. It’s the sort of thing that would compliment the wot-tac perfectly. Every racing sailor should have a wot-tac of course – it just give you that advantage and gives you time to concentrate on racing.
