Platu25 Worlds in Austria
I heard today that the wot-tac is being taken to the Platu25 Worlds in Austria by a team from Spain who are looking seriously at the wot-tac as a possible distributor in Spain. The Platu25 Worlds is an amazing competition for some serious racing keel boats. The competition amongst the sailors is intense and I’m sure that the Lakes of Austria will provide the perfect background to demonstrate how effective the wot-tac can be in predicting wind angles, start line bias, Olympic sailing courses, trapezoidal sailing courses and useful to for predicting whether a jibe set or a bear away set is to be used on the windward mark for a windward/Leeward course. And of course the committee boats and the mark layers can use the wot-tac to assist them with getting the start line correct and all the angles accurately laid. Planning the courses and planning the right choice of sails whether it is a spinnaker or a genneker is crucial to winning races and I’m sure that the contestants in the Platu25 Worlds in Austria will find the wot-tac extremely helpful.
Wot-tac
The selling season in Australia starts from September and lasts until March so we are all here at wot-tac preparing to launch the wot-tac in good time for the start of the sailing season. I know that sailing in Australia and New Zealand are extremely popular. There is a lot of very competitive sailing in both countries and the racers have always had a big part in the sport. I sailed for many years on the Canterbury which came from New Zealand and was a great yacht to sail. There has been a lot of interest from the sailing community in Australia to the wot-tac and how it can improve the skills of the sailor. We recently sold our first wot-tac to a sailor in Brisbane. The first of many to the sailing community in Australia.
Italy
More news from wot-tac’s Italian distributor Dominico Boffi of www.velocitek.it who recently took the wot-tac to the J80 Championships of Italy. Even the committee boats in the J80 championship were sponsored with a wot-tac. With the Italian sailing season being much longer than the sailing season in the UK and show that Dominico will make a great success of his wot-tac distributorship.
Edinburgh cup
Excitement is building at the South Caernarfonshire yacht club in anticipation of the Edinburgh cup being held in July. I know that the organisers are expecting Dragon’s from all over the country. There are going to be dragons representing a number of different countries and it should all make for a very exciting few days. If you’re unfamiliar with how would Dragon can perform and come down to the South Caernarfonshire yacht club and see the racing for yourself. It really is the sort of exciting sailing that that makes the sport of sailing so exhilarating. Anybody interested in Dragon racing can get more details for the British Dragon Association web site – http://www.britishdragons.org/
